^Lot 1636 WWII GERMAN FORESTRY CUTLASS BY WKC.

A nice etched Forestry Cutlass by WKC measuring 18 3/4" overall with a nicely etched 13" blade. Etching includes hunting scenes and game animals. The ricasso is marked " (logo) WKC " and the pad is in place. Gilded hilt with a fluted clam shell guard and a hoof quillon. Plain knuckle bow and ferrule. 2-piece off white grip with 3 acorns on each side. A green and bullion knot is attached to the hilt. Plated iron mounted leather scabbard with acorn frog stud. Leather frog is present. CONDITION: blade shows some wear to the etching. Hilt has lost much of its gilding but is still quite attractive. Grip has a few age lines and 2 of the acorns have notable verdigris. Scabbard shows light wear but frog shows heavy wear. Knot shows light wear. (02-24928/BF). NON-GUN. $500-700.
